Worked with Steve he was very professional and courteous. His crew was outstanding their work was exceptional. Clean up was so thorough you wouldn't even know I was under major construction . Steve was one of the nicest people I've ever met! He was so accommodating to my financial situation and really made me feel like we were working together. My only criticism is that his guys had left my basement door open, some trash, and didn't let me know they had completed the job. Nothing too bad!

Steve and his crew members did an outstanding job at a fair price repairing my house and garage slate roof. Steve was the only roofer interviewed out of four who checked the damage done to my second floor ceiling due to the water damage caused by the roof problem. Steve and his crew completed our roof in two days. It entailed a house and garage. Steve made himself available to us every step of the way. He was prompt and his crew was early each day. They worked on the house and completed 90% of the work in one day. They finished the whole project in two days. Steve was courteous, caring and knowledgeable about this difficult project. Where the previous job done 20 years ago showed deficits, Steve corrected every detail that needed attention. He answered questions and took care of everything professionally. His crew cleaned up the whole area including the neighbors' properties so that there wasn't a nail or any debris left. He has an experienced crew who he trusted enough to start project without any problems. Steve waited from June until August so that the project could get underway. Delays were caused by us due to illness in the family. He showed compassion and understanding throughout this delay and was ready to start as soon as we were ready to begin. I cannot put into writing all that he has done for us. Neighbors and others approached him and us to inquire about the beautiful job that was done. We couldn't have imagined the finished project compared to the state of the old roofing job done previously. I recommend Steve and his wonderful crew to anyone considering a roofing project

Steve Costello is wonderful! He actually calls when he says he will and he keeps promises. Communication is super important to me and I couldn't have asked for more. Steve and his guys repaired my Mom's roof. He gave me a great price and they did a spectacular job. I've worked with many contractors over the years and I've never felt so comfortable. We had shingles missing due to the hurricane, requested consultation on Friday, Smart Roofing called immediately, came to assess the damage on Saturday, and finished the job on Sunday. The only regret was that we agreed to re-flash two close valleys based on Steve's recommendations at the end of the job. Now in hindsight, wish we had taken more time to think it through.
